Inventory hike in Prescott National Forest

Last weekend MB and I joined up with a guy named Sam from the Arizona Wilderness Coalition. He was a very cool guy whose job is to drive around areas that are designated as “Roadless Area” and inventory them so people know whats going on. What a rad job.

So we volunteered to help him out. Inventoried Roadless Areas (IRAs) are areas in which no more roads can be built. Existing roads, if they are in use, can stay, but who determines if they are still in use? Sam. And us last weekend.

Who knew Arizona could be this green? Elevation was around 4500 feet and the scenery was beautiful. This camera phone picture doesn’t come close to how great it was:

I brought along a GPS phone, so you can check out the trip over at Trimble Outdoors
