Last weekend MB and I joined up with a guy named Sam from the Arizona Wilderness Coalition. He was a very cool guy whose job is to drive around areas that are designated as “Roadless Area” and inventory them so people know whats going on. What a rad job.
So we volunteered to help him out. Inventoried Roadless Areas (IRAs) are areas in which no more roads can be built. Existing roads, if they are in use, can stay, but who determines if they are still in use? Sam. And us last weekend.
Who knew Arizona could be this green? Elevation was around 4500 feet and the scenery was beautiful. This camera phone picture doesn’t come close to how great it was:

I brought along a GPS phone, so you can check out the trip over at Trimble Outdoors

The company I work for just launched a new product the this week that I absolutely love. It’s called AllSport GPS, and it’s a really cool application for your cell phone that tracks your work outs. I use it everytime I ride my bike.
The coolest part of it is that it uploads your workout data to the website when you are done, so I can show off my new top speed on my way home, or my hilarious wrong turn going to retreive my car from the night before.

Here’s a great analysis on the medias take on the awful tragedy in Qana, where something like 60 civilians died from an errant Israelli missle.

Between this kind of staged photojournalism, and Reuters’ photographers blatently forging images, how are we supposed to get a decent idea of what’s going on over there?
